WHAT IS A CERTIFIED TRANSLATION?
A certified translation is a translation completed by a member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters. This process involves affixing the translator's stamp to the copies of the original documents along with the translator's declaration attesting to the accuracy of the translation. At this time, Alva Translations offers certified French to English translation.
WHAT IS PROOFREADING?
Proofreading consists of identifying and correcting omissions, grammar mistakes, errors in typography. We also ensure that documents are properly formatted by verifying the correct placement of headers, footers, notes, tables, graphics and fonts. WHAT IS A NOTARIZED TRANSLATION?
A notarized translation consists of having a notary public, commissioner, or another official with the authority for signing oaths certify that the translation is a true copy of the original document. The official who notarizes the translation may sign or put a seal on the document or they may prepare, sign and attach a separate certificate to the document. I am the founder of Alva Translations and a certified translator in good standing. After pursuing my education in languages and translation, I have been fortunate to work with a wide range of professionals, businesses, NGOs and government agencies in the translation industry. Translating an array of materials and keeping up to date with the latest tools available has helped me to grow as a translation professional.
